The sailing vessel "Elephantine" is built for the pleasure of those who want to experience this magic river in the most original and pleasant way. The word "Dahabiya" means "the golden boat"! Of all the types of boats on the Nile, we offer the longest sailing time during the day while sailing between Luxor and Aswan. This gives you more time to get unique insights into ancient and modern Egypt outside the big cities. The Dahabiyas, which aim to cover the distance in less than a week, are almost always towed by tug and sail at night.

The dahabiya is a 2-masted vessel that sails with the wind and is sometimes towed by a tug when there is no wind. It should have no engines except for a generator that produces electricity.
You will experience the Egyptian culture and see the Egyptian spirit in everything around you.

You will visit many unforgettable places along the Nile between Luxor and Aswan, places that are only accessible by the small dahabiyas, such as El Hagz Island, Bassaw village and Gebel El-Silsila.
